Impactful Work in the Producing Countries
Travelling to producing countries is crucial in understanding what is truly happening there. It allows you to see, hear, and feel the needs of the local communities and gain a better understanding of how to improve working conditions. Building a connection and having open conversations with your suppliers is essential in this process. Together, we can work on a variety of themes such as promoting a living wage, using sustainable materials, and addressing child labour in producing countries.
“I really enjoyed working with Rachel. She helped me to re-evaluate our way of working and helped establish a practical way to incorporate new practices into our day-to-day activities. With the foundation that came out of our meetings, I have all that I need to roll it out into our business. Rachel is constructive, empathises quickly on the way your business is working and comes with solutions that fit."Responsibility Manager,Kuyichi Pure Goods
Rachel can light up a meeting or your day with her open, honest, and ever-positive personality and she brings a huge amount of in-depth knowledge on human rights in fashion supply chains to the table. She is the perfect sparring partner because of her level of expertise, and her experience, combined with her almost philosophic mind. She can perfectly balance what is ethical, with what is practical and help you to craft solutions for complex human rights issues. In addition to this, she knows many tools, organizations, and people that she effortlessly connects together to elevate any project. It is a pleasure to work with her for The Sustainability Club.Sustainability Consultant,The Sustainability Club
Rachel is highly dedicated, positive and enthusiastic, and has a pleasant personality. She is eager to learn, not afraid to express that something is unclear to her, and poses the right questions at the right time. In our assignment to advise the Dutch government about the set-up of a helpdesk for companies to undertake OECD due diligence, she was a great asset to our team. She keeps an eye on personal relations between people, and expresses both positive and negative emotions in a very constructive way, leading to a good atmosphere in the team. This makes her a great team player! At the same time, she picks up solitary tasks very efficiently and goes the extra mile to deliver quality results. Although her experience is mainly in the textile sector, she manages to translate her insights from this sector into practical and effective advice for other sectors. I wholeheartedly recommend Rachel to organisations looking for practical and thorough advice to make their undertakings more sustainable.CSR consultant,Sustainable Supply Chain Consultants
In my letters, I delve into the many ways we can take responsibility as individuals and as companies.
